The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K models feature an active EF lens mount that works with a massive number of high quality photographic and video lenses from Sigma, Zeiss, Canon and others. You can use extreme zoom lenses, high speed lenses and lenses with image stabilization. The combination of EF lenses with the 6K Super 35 sensor lets you shoot with shallow depth of field and gives you virtually unlimited creative choices! The Micro Four Thirds lens mount on the 4K model brings large camera quality to smaller, compact lenses. Olympus, Panasonic and Sigma make a wide range of active MFT lenses such as fast primes and telephoto lenses. Perfect for keeping your camera rig as small as possible!

The Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Pro Grip adds two extra NP-F570 batteries to the 6K G2 and 6K Pro for over 3 hours of shooting on a single charge. That’s a massive battery life, in a compact design that integrates seamlessly with the camera. Featuring a unique carbon fiber design, non‑slip hand grips, and a slide out tray, the battery grip makes long shoots easier because it gives you more to hold onto. You can view the status of the grip’s batteries on the touchscreen display, and charge the batteries via the camera’s 12V DC power connection in between takes!

You can add an optional viewfinder to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro for a more immersive shooting experience! The bright OLED display includes important information such as frame rate, histogram, record status, audio meters and more, so you can keep track of camera parameters while perfectly framing shots. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF has a 70 degree range of motion and 4 different types of eyecups, even including options for both left or right eyes. The built in proximity sensor activates the viewfinder, as well as switches off the LCD touchscreen. This conserves battery power and prevents you from accidentally changing camera settings by pressing the touchscreen controls!

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K uses readily available standard LP-E6 batteries, while Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K models use larger, longer life NP-F570 batteries. These popular batteries come in a variety of capacities and are used around the world. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera includes an AC plug pack which can simultaneously power the camera and charge the battery. Even the USB-C expansion port can trickle charge the battery, so you can use portable battery packs, mobile phone chargers or laptops. You can add extra batteries using the optional Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Grip which dramatically extends the power of the camera so you can keep shooting all day!

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can record HD onto standard SD cards, while Ultra HD, 4K and even 6K can be recorded onto the faster SD/UHS‑II or CFast 2.0 cards. When working in Blackmagic RAW, you can record over an hour of full cinematic quality footage in 4K on a single 256GB SD UHS‑II card. You can even record to external SSD or fast hard disks using the USB‑C expansion port, making it possible to extend those recording times further.

Timecode Generators
Sync all cameras using external timecode for perfect multicam shoots
When you’re shooting with multiple cameras, you can choose to record timecode via the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera’s XLR connection or plug in an external timecode generator to ensure perfect timecode sync. Simply plug into the 3.5 mm audio jack and the camera will automatically detect the timecode and lock the camera. Roving cameras can independently start and stop recording while storing perfect timecode sync in the file metadata, allowing powerful multi camera workflows for music festivals, weddings and interviews. DaVinci Resolve will automatically find and sync the shots from all cameras so you can complete the edit quickly, even when your shoot has generated thousands of media files
